Welcome to the Kankakee County Clerk of the Circuit Court Website

The Circuit Clerk position is an elected one, voted on by the people of Kankakee County. It is a constitutional office and part of the 21st Judicial Branch of Illinois, including Iroquois County. Our offices are located in the Kankakee County Courthouse.

As the official record keeper of the court files, the circuit clerk is part of the administrative arm of the judicial branch of government. We also collect fines and assessments ordered by the court, to be disbursed accordingly.

Kankakee County Circuit Clerk Online Portal is Live
Kankakee County Circuit Clerk office went live with a new court case management system –
Tyler Enterprise Justice – on September 23, 2024.
As part of this implementation, a new public-facing website that provides information to
members of the public and legal community called Portal is now activated.
We have appreciated everyone’s patience as we worked hard to provide this critical legal
information to our community.
